Armenian Business Development Association inc., was founded in 2019 by Garrabet Simonian (Public Officer of the organisation) and is comprised of 7 board members.
ABDAinc. is based in Sydney, Australia with direct connections with Yerevan, Armenia.
ABDAinc. believes Entrepreneurs play a key role in any economy. Entrepreneurship includes creativity, innovation, risk taking, planning and management and is described as transferring ideas into action. The ABDA desires to promote entrepreneurship in Armenia by creating opportunities and connecting private businesses to investment in Armenia by direct foreign investment (including start-ups) and cooperating and partnering with existing business in Armenia to develop the entrepreneurial spirit in Armenia for Armenians.

Garry Simonian is a successful Restauranteur (Platinum Restaurant Group), Property Developer (Platinum Property Advisors) & Finance Operator (Lightning Fast Finance).

Platinum Restaurant Group (1991)
With over 30 years of combined hospitality experience and successes Garry endeavours have led to the acquisition and successful management of 12 venues across Sydney, Queensland and Los Angeles with a staff pool of over 500 employees.

Garry’s Restaurant Group has a growing portfolio and Garry is working towards exploring opportunities that will compliment his existing venues whilst offering a variety of different dining experiences from casual cafes and brasseries, restaurants to high volume cocktail bars, semi fine dining venues and function centres across Australia. Each venue offers a valuable/quality experience whilst embracing the flavours from all of over the world with an innovative twist.

Platinum Property Advisors (2008)
Garry Simonian is the Director of Platinum Property Advisors which is an Investment company in property trading primarily focused in Sydney with the intention of investing in buildings, adding value & reselling.

PPA specialises in residential units, multi level properties, residential spaces, retail, sub-division, student accommodation and hotels. The company offers a wealth of knowledge and direction in acquisitions, development & planning, legal advice, property trading, managing difficult sites & solving problems.

Garry’s Finance company based in America is a subprime mortgage lending car business.

DR STEPAN KERKYASHARIAN

AO, Hon D.litt.

From 1980 to 1989 he was the foundation Head of Radio of the Special Broadcasting Service of Australia. Was Chair and CEO of the Community Relations Commission of NSW, Australia from1989 to 2014, and concurrent President and CEO of the Anti-Discrimination Board from 2003 to 2016. From 1997 to 2000 He was the Attaché for Armenia for the Sydney 2000 Olympic games.

He received the Gold Cross of Merit of Poland in 1990. He was made a Member of the Order of Australia (AM) in 1992 and an Officer of the Order of Australia (AO) in 2011. In 1995 he received the Premier’s Community Service Award and a second one in 2016. The Olympic Committee in 2000. He received the Australian medal for ‘Services to National Security’ in 2014.

Dr Kerkyasharian was made a Fellow of the University of Technology Sydney in 1995, a Doctor of Letters (Honoris Causa) by the University of Sydney in 2007 and a Doctor of Letters (Honoris Causa) by the University of Western Sydney in 2013.

In 2014 the NSW Government introduced an annual medal after his name “Stepan Kerkyasharian Award for Community Harmony”. He is at present Chair of the NSW Community Languages Schools Board, Chair of the Board of Cemeteries and Crematoria NSW, the Deputy Chair of the Federation of Community Language Schools of NSW, a Director of the National Australia Day Council, a Member of the P.M. Glynn Institute Advisory Council, Vice Chair of the Diocesan Council of the Armenian Apostolic Church of Australia and New Zealand, Chair of the Armenian Community Welfare Centre and Chair of Ararat Cultural and Sports Association Inc.

Together with his wife Hilda he has established the Kerkyasharian Kayikian Armenian Studies Perpetual fund at Sydney University in 2014 for post graduate students and donated the Khatchkar erected in the centre of Sydney on the grounds of St Mary’s Cathedral in 2018.

(Worldwide luxury transportation provider) Currently on the board of directors of AGBU Sydney Chapter. (Vice Chairman).

Movses Makaryan’s background is in finance, however he is mostly involved in entrepreneurship. Movses has business ventures in rmenia also. One of them, MagicCup (Sevan Startup Summit 1st place, 2018) is in process of launching in Armenia partnering with PepsiCo

Dr. Sarkis Nalbandian completed his Bachelor of Dental surgery in 1983, Graduate Diploma in Clinical Dentistry (Oral Implants) in the year 2000, from the University of Sydney. He has also completed his Masters (Prosthodontics) in 2005 with Distinction from the restigious King’s College, University of London and his Doctorate of Clinical Dentistry (Prosthodontics) from the University of Sydney. He is a Fellow of Australasian College of the Dental Surgeons and a member of Specialist Stream in Prosthodontics.

He has researched and published articles on the patients’ decision-making processes when selecting composites or porcelain veneer systems. His special interests include: the application of composites and porcelain technology for treating complex functional and aesthetic problems, along with the application of piezosurgery in implantology and bonding to zirconia.

Dr. S. Nalbandian has a specialist private referral practice in Sydney focusing on Aesthetics, Prosthodontics, Implant surgery, TMD & Facial Pain.

Dr Nalbandian has lectured both locally and internationally on Aesthetics, Dental Implants and Complex Prosthodontics.

He is a contributor and consultant to postgraduate Master’s Degree programs in Restorative Dentistry and Prosthodontics at King’s College, University of London.
